Situated in the heart of Sarria’s bustling Praza da Constitución, this spot offers a relaxed and cozy atmosphere, welcoming a steady flow of locals, pilgrims, and travelers alike. It’s a place where you can settle in for a leisurely breakfast, a hearty lunch, or a laid-back dinner, with ample outdoor seating that’s ideal for people-watching or catching a quiet moment in the shade.
The menu tends toward generous small plates and comforting local dishes, with an emphasis on straightforward, satisfying food rather than anything overly refined. Seafood gets a notable mention alongside traditional options like cured meats and fried steak, complemented by a well-curated wine list that encourages lingering over a glass or two. Those looking for a quick bite or something light will find plenty of options here, as will anyone seeking healthier choices.
The vibe is casual and welcoming, with attentive, friendly service — including staff who are ready to assist English speakers, which can be a relief for non-Spanish visitors. It’s an accessible spot, equipped for solo diners, families with children, and larger groups, all accommodated comfortably thanks to wheelchair access and high chairs. You’ll often find a mix of tourists gearing up for the next stage of the Camino de Santiago, locals stopping in for a relaxed meal, and visitors drawn by the unhurried pace and collective warmth of the place.
Overall, this restaurant feels like an inviting local gathering point rather than a formal dining experience. Whether you’re there for the breakfast, a full pilgrim menu with wine included, or simply a quiet coffee and dessert, the atmosphere encourages a steady ebb of conversation and enjoyment in a welcoming corner of Sarria’s center.

"Great food, service and huge portions"
"I ordered combo number 2 for breakfast, paid, and even left a tip."
"They offer more seafood than the typical pilgrims restaurant along the trail."
5 The bad reviews of here made me nervous, but 4 of us ate here and quickly those worries were lost! The service was welcoming and friendly, there was a gentleman who spoke fluent English, and the food and atmosphere were great! We ordered a few of the small plates, including the octopus, salad, fried steak, and cured meats, and all were delicious. The salad was the most basic, but everything else was delicious, well seasoned, and great portion sizes. The wine was great, and the Santiago cake for dessert was so yummy! Don’t let the bad reviews dissuade you, this place is great!
5 Underrated restaurant in my opinion (from reading previous reviews). You aren't going to get fine dining experience but what you will get is stomach full of hearty, local comfort food and tipsy from the wine (all for 12€ - see pilgrim menu) . What more could one ask for? Location not far from Albergue. Menus in different language for convenience.
5 Hearty pilgrim meals, friendly staff, and lovely atmosphere with the outdoor seating and shade cover. The menu of the day is a bargain at 11€ and includes bread, starter, main, dessert, wine, and water. We were so full!
5 Lovely raging wood fire with an old world feel bar, had a Bocadillos ( Ham and Cheese roll) with a Brandy and a Vino , the roll was large enough for the 2 of us and we enjoyed our time and food there
5 Excitement is in the air at this restaurant as it is the place many people go to prior to starting the final 114 KM of the Camino de San Santiago. Like other restaurants along the Camino, they have an excellent and well priced pilgrims menu. They offer more seafood than the typical pilgrims restaurant along the trail. They have a gentleman posted outside to effectively beckons and welcome customers. His personality fits the job perfectly!
4 Food was ok, coffee was great and so was the deserts. Breakfast is probably their best meal.
5 Loved the pulpo (octopus) and beer was super cold. Perfect after the Camino walk.
5 Best croissant ever, this was the breakfast (rest of breakfast not pictured) that was included with our hotel prior to starting the Camino. It was big, flaky, soft goodness…..if anyone knows of an even better croissant let me know cuz this one is at the top of my list. I regret not listing to my self when I wanted another to bring on the walk with me!
People often enjoy the small plates like octopus, cured meats, and local pilgrim menu options featuring hearty, comforting food with good wine.
It suits both quick bites and relaxed visits, offering casual, cozy seating with table service and a quiet atmosphere.
Visiting outside typical meal hours can be more relaxed, though the restaurant stays lively with pilgrims and locals, especially around lunch and dinner times.
Yes, the restaurant welcomes groups and solo diners alike, with suitable seating options for both.
They offer outdoor seating with shade, wheelchair accessible entrance and seating, and accept various card payments including NFC mobile payments.
